London is truly a cosmopolitan city - we are constantly amazed at the diverse variety of people we see in the streets everywhere. Maybe a lot of them are tourists too?

In the evening we met up with Gabi, our
friend from Sydney in the early/mid 80’s. We started at a pub at Victoria Station but
it was so noisy with World Cup 2014 broadcasts we had to get out after one drink.
We then had a fun evening together over a meal at an Italian restaurant.
We had an exciting time getting on the train at Oxford Circus - I had just put one foot in the carriage and was in the process of pulling the other foot up, when the door closed suddenly, trapping me in limbo. Joan and others on the platform worked furiously to pry the door open again, successfully thank goodness. Totally uneventful trip after that.
